If you take him, you take me.’ Clem was terrified, what would
the Nazis do?

8, was a hidden child for nearly two years, living in a dark sewer,
playing with rats. She talks about the risks they had to take to
get clean drinking water, despite being surrounded by water, it
was filthy water, and what happened when a woman in the sewers gave
birth.
Roald 6, hid with his mother for 15 months in a small windowless
store room in a school. They huddled in silence, for fear of being
found. In 1981 Roald was awarded the Nobel Prize for chemistry.

6, was hidden in the flat of a German civil servant, in the heart
of the Nazi district in Lvov. During the day she sat in silence
so the so the neighbours wouldn’t know she was there. When
the German hiding her had to return to Germany, Lilli explains the
extreme risks that were taken to keep her safe.

meant capture. One day his nightmare came true, the knock on the
